Steve Young and Sarah Smart-Steve Young Ski Classic
Forever Young Foundation and Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort present the 18th Annual Steve Young Ski Classic on March 6th, 2004 in support of Wasatch Adaptive Sports.
Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) was established in 1977 and is a 501(c) 3 non-profit foundation whose mission is to provide educational and confidence building experiences for challenged youth and adults. These experiences come through participation in this outstanding adaptive sports program. No matter what the challenge, whether it be physical or developmental, debilitating illness, or situational challenges, WAS provides a venue and program that builds self-esteem and confidence. WAS operates year round and provides many rewarding activities. These events include skiing, snowshoeing, sledge hockey, hiking, mountain awareness programs, fishing, orienteering, camping, tram rides and frequent special events.
WAS does not turn anyone away. Regardless of their financial situation, WAS provides the same caring attention to each student. We need your help.
Your tax-deductible contribution will provide experiences and memories for these individuals of which they previously never dreamed. Your contribution provides scholarships to so many children and adults whose health and financial situation makes any sort of luxury item impossible. But this is not just a luxury – this is an amazing program of confidence building, family gathering, peer bonding, and attitude enlightening.
Contributions received from the Steve Young Ski Classic enable Wasatch Adaptive Sports to reach children from Primary Children’s Medical Center, Shriners Hospitals for Children and many other service organizations and individuals.
